Jack Carrell Psychology gathers personal details from you, including your name, contact information, and records of our interactions.

This information is collected so that Jack Carrell can identify clients and determine whether appropriate mental health services can be provided to you.

Sharing your personal information is entirely voluntary. Should you prefer not to provide certain details, this decision will be fully respected. Your information remains secure through encrypted storage systems accessible only to Jack Carrell.

You are entitled to request copies of any personal information held about you, or to ask for corrections to be made. For any enquiries regarding this matter, please contact Jack Carrell directly at jack@carrellpsychology.com.

Ethical Guidelines

I practice according to the Code of Ethics for Psychologists in Aotearoa New Zealand. For detailed information about psychological practice standards and regulations in New Zealand, you can visit the New Zealand Psychologists Board website.

During our sessions, I take notes electronically which are stored securely for ten years as required by the Health (Retention of Health Information) Regulations 1996. You have the right to access your records at any time upon request.

AI tools

I incorporate several AI tools that are widely used by healthcare professionals to enhance the quality and accuracy of my assessments. These tools include:

Turboscribe - This transcription service creates detailed, accurate records of our conversations, allowing me to focus entirely on you during our sessions rather than being distracted by note-taking.

Claude Pro - This AI assistant analyses the conversation transcript to identify and extract key information related to ADHD symptoms and other relevant mental health and life factors that inform my assessment.

Grammarly Pro - This writing assistant reviews and refines my assessment reports to ensure they are clear, professional, and easily understood by both you and other healthcare providers.

My use of AI tools is guided by the New Zealand Psychologists Board's AI guidelines, and these AI services adhere to international standards for healthcare information privacy and security.
