Your first session is an opportunity to discuss what's brought you to therapy, your goals, and outline a plan to help you overcome your difficulties.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long, and frequency of sessions depends on the nature of the work (typically weekly or fortnightly). This will be discussed and agreed together.

At present, Jack is not accepting new ACC clients. General therapy enquiries are welcome, but Jack typically does not have availability.

Jack is based out of Heritage Psychology, which is at 360 Barbadoes Street, in the CBD of Christchurch.

An assessment typically includes a clinical interview, completion of standardised questionnaires, and collateral information from someone who has known you since childhood (such as a parent or older sibling), where available. This combination helps build an accurate picture of how symptoms have presented across your life, not just currently.

Yes. You'll receive a comprehensive written report outlining the assessment findings.
